ATIC introduces our Dubai Special Needs EASE (Expressive Art for Special Education) programme for children and adults with disabilities. The program will consist of: expressive play and art therapy techniques.
The creative arts have an important role in helping a child, It is an enjoyable medium whereby a child can express how they feel, improve their hand-eye coordination, motor skills, learn new information, improve interpersonal skills, and develop sensory integration. At ATIC Dubai Special needs programme we focus on helping a child learn new creative art skills which aid motor skills and physical development. Art making activities can stimulate the brain to open and maintain neural pathways.
Creative arts therapy sessions can help children with disabilities deal with their delayed emotional and cognitive development, often such children may not have developed the cognitive skills to express how they feel.
Dubai Special Needs EASE programme focuses on helping a child bridge their delayed development, work at their own pace, build a foundation for adequate learning of skills, understand their strengths and weaknesses, and aid emotional regulation to manage stress, frustration and unpleasant emotions.
EASE helps children with disabilities express themselves creatively which can provide rich information to schools, day centres for adults and parents/caregivers.
ATIC’s programmes can also be catered to adults with disabilities like Autism to enable each person to better manage emotions, maintain motor skills and improve their cognitive abilities.
