|To prove that war cannot destroy love and art.... "Parcels of Peace'||This event invited people to create an artwork of solidarity with the people of Syria experiencing trauma due to the devastation of war. Theses artworks are part of a project with a refugee camp in Jordan, Where the art works will be taken there and the women and children of the camps will be invited to create works in response. Donations were collected by a charity and handicrafts by refugees were also sold by a charity in aid of the upkeep of the camp.|
Participants were asked to reflect about the situation and to try and express their feelings, that the people of Syria are very much in our thoughts. We are looking to enable refugees to respond and exhibit their work.
Handcraft items made by refugees were sold by a charity empowering the women of the camps to continue to be productive and showcase their talent.
